Custom creation of metagenomic libraries
LibraGen's know-how in metagenomics is directly accessible for the custom creation or metagenomic libraries from any type of environments. LibraGen's has already been creating high quality META-DNA® libraries from diversified samples such as: - Soils - Sea water - Waste plants - Fish sediments - Insect guts (termites, ...) - Human micro-flora (including gut) - Human colon biopsy - Worms faeces - Crohn's disease biopsy - Cancer colon biopsy META-DNA® libraries are created by our molecular biologists with an average inserts size of 40 kB, before being organized by robots in 384 wells micro-titer plates and kept frozen at –80°C. They are shipped on dry ice with a quality control, and copy is stored in our facilities to secure their shipment.

Metagenomic DNA arrays Genetic screening targeting specific enzyme-encoding sequences allows the identification of clones which contain these biosynthetic pathways or genes, without relying on their recombinant expression. Beside its META-DNA® technology, LibraGen offers a specific service for the creation of high density metagenomic DNA membranes with its robots. Membranes are created with either your library or previously created META-DNA® libraries at your desired density upon your specifications. This approach is a cost effective method to get detailed set of information on genes contained in metagenomes and to further explore in details the sequences most promising clones.

Bio-activity screening During its research activities on secondary metabolites arising from untapped diversity, LibraGen has developed a complete screening platform for the evaluation of active compounds.
This includes: - Anti infective efficiency evaluation on a panel of reference strains (bacteria, yeast, fungus and nosocomial references) - Anti proliferative evaluation of new compounds on reference cancer cell lines (IC50 determination, evaluation of selectivity on different lines of cancer types) - Anti inflammatory activity evaluation on proprietary Nf-kB transduced cell lines
